"War" was supposed to pit two action stars against one another in action filled fist-fights, but somehow turned into a mediocre cop flick. The editing and directing made it feel like an annoyingly flashy T.V. commercial. The '69 Chevelle SS was the highlight of the movie.
Action movies have a tendency to stray away from other film elements, but I've never seen an action movie that shifts away from action itself. Jet Li and Jason Staham barely collide in this, and that is what was advertised quite often. "The ultimate battle begins." Yeah, right.
Good load of action, nice pace troughout the entire film, too bad the plot is not too good and predictable. But this film scores good for the actionsequences.

The only thing that stops the twist ending from being painfully predictable is how ridiculously implausible it is. "Remember me? I gained a thick accent since last time we met, and I look completely different"
