Reminded me a bit of a college theater production I saw called "1940's Radio Hour". Unremarkable but amusing light comedy.

Since I'm always skeptical about comedies I wasn't really looking forward to seeing this one in a Japanese movies night that was held at a local cinema. However, this one managed to make me cry and gasp for air between laughs - at 2am in the morning. I'd definitely watch this one again anytime!

This is one stellar film. The directing is so unique - no cuts, and long scenes with the camera panning and moving with the characters and action. And the critique on the entertainment industry, specifically for writers, is informative, clever and accurate.
