First off, I knew pretty much nothing about The Clash coming in. They should've just filmed Strummer talking for 80 minutes. He absolutely steals the show. I've never seen a star (a punk rocker no less!) come off as such an insightful, unpretentious, and...just generally likable person.

My favorite band of all-time receives a film befitting its legendary status. Although there's a little TOO MUCH attention paid to the band's origins and the first record, the rest of their career is given ample time. I especially loved the segments devoted to "Sandanista!" as Mick and Joe explain what they were trying to accomplish with it ("music for people on oil rigs"). Strummer steals the show with his wit, candor and willingness to express regret over the band's dissolution.
