The first question most filmgoers will ask is: "Who needs a remake of the classic cult film that starred Bette Davis and Joan Crawford?" There's only one reason why this was remade and that is to topline real-life sisters, Vanessa and Lynn, as the former movie stars. Lynn has the flashier role. Vanessa manages to keep the story from becoming a totally Grand Guignol horror show. There's life in the old Guignol yet!
