Summary: His soon-to-be father in law has the dopey lawyer Louden to give the pretty and no less self conscious Nikki Finn a ride from the prison to the bus station to ensure that she leaves town immediately. However Nikki has different plans: after being in prison many years for a murder she didn't commit, she wants to find out who really killed her friend Johnny. Unscrupulously she uses Louden for her objectives. (imdb)

Very silly, but undeniably funny little film about an uptight, meek lawyer and a crazy, loud girl, played well by both Madonna and John Mills. There are some genuinely funny scenes here, such as the hospital scenes, or the marriage contract, haters be damned. Predictable, but that's not a problem in a light-hearted comedy.

This gets a few points for filming a scene in the neighborhood where I grew up. Madonna passing by in a convertible was heady stuff for any 12-year old boy. She definitely made an impression.
