Summary: Recently widowed Karen Tunny and her two daughters, Sarah and Emma, move to a remote mountain home which Karen has inherited from the family of her late husband. However, she is unaware that the home is situated near an old mine, the site of an early 20th century tragedy in which many children were buried alive... (imdb)

The acting, music and atmosphere added a needed sense of suspense to an otherwise typical and average horror story. I liked the fact that although this film was violent at times most of it was shadowed or off camera.Overall I found this film to be an enjoyable way to spend an evening at home.

It's slow-moving, every single character and plot twist (in as much as anything in this plot can be called a "twist") seems to have been bought at the Scriptz-R-Us "everything must go" sale, and not once do we get the feeling that our dull-as-dishwater "heroes" stand any risk whatsoever. Safe, old, and oh so very boring.

Pretty good Horrorfest film (in concept) with several pitfalls here and there. I can't help but feel that the film could have been done better on every level -- like some injustice had been done to a potentially good story. ::shrug::

Nothing....is less scary than children. Be they of the corn, zombies, vampires, or what have you. How to avoid angry zombie kids: Walk briskly, shove them over, kick them in the face...c'mon people! These kids are like 5! Rubbish.

Pretty much waste of time. Two women (mother and a teenage girl) run hysterical in the woods. I kind of like the teenage girl (Taylor-Compton), but there was not much to act in this good awful story. And there was one a beautiful scene with misty forest, but even that moment lasted only one minute. All usual horror cliches in one disturbing pile.
