Summary: Tess and Sam work on the same newspaper and don't like each other very much. At least the first time, because they eventually fall in love and get married. But, Tess is a very active woman and one of the most famous feminists in the country; she is even elected as "the woman of the year". Being busy all the time, she forgets how to really be a woman and Sam begins to feel negleted. (imdb)

I'm getting to really enjoy Hepburn, so this was a lot of fun to watch. She and Tracy work really well together. My only complaint is the ending where too much time is spent on useless unfunny gags and the muddled message doesn't really work.

Good-Tracy Hepburn pairing. Ends with the slowest slapstick kitchen bit ever recorded.

Good movie that maybe deals with the 'gender game' better and smarter than Adam's Rib, softly and with a better message (and without justifying any murder). Sometimes it's maybe to obvious, but most of the movie works fine. I specially appreciate the ending, and that long silent slapstick-alike sequence Hepburn does so nice. Obviously, this is a Hepburn movie, in one of those characters I usually think only she can do so good.

Begins quite well, but turns into a rather boring affair. Hepburn makes it somewhat worth it at times though.

Think "Down With Love", only less satirically campy and more innovational for the time.

I found this uncomfortable to sit through. Embarrassing plot, and not particularly funny. If you have a choice, see "Pat and Mike" instead.
