That was a long walk to go on for one pseudo-incestuous kiss.

Womb went straight to the guts of the dilemma of a human cloning. Do men have a right to live more longer than they do? Who draw the line of the limit of a love of a mother? What responsibilities she's got on her offsprings and choices to bring one to the world? A concept of incest rewritten. Both leads acted nicely together. The cinematography was stunning and the story was thoughtful. An unexpected, inner space sci-fi story.

Nice to see a film tease out the serious emotional and social implications of its sci-fi premise rather than simply exploit it with "high concepts" and special effects. Eva Green's a mysterious wonder here and matched well with Matt Smith. (Smith seemed to have a lot more fun in Christopher and His Kind, however.) The futuristic setup postulates what would happen if a woman gave birth to the clone of her dead boyfriend. Lovely green-gray-blue compositions by cinematographer Péter Szatmári.
