Summary: A simple stretch of interviews and images capturing the people who camp out, dope up, drink up, sometimes get naked, and jump into a nearby waterfall, whilst listening to musicians like Daniel Johnston. (imdb)
OK, so there isn't much to look for here. But you can see a young Linklater playing around with super 8 cam, and while it's nothing extraordinary, it's worthy enough of 7-minutes of any film buff's time.
Reminds me of that scene when they are all in the woods in Dazed and Confused. Probably shouldn't have been released as it looks like some home footage but still kinda cool to see what Linklater could do with super 8, even if it wasn't much.
Great footage of people just having tons of fun outdoors listening to music, cooking all manner of fried meats, and getting drunk and/or stoned. Unfortunately, that's all it really is, and due to its short length nothing is really able to be fleshed out except "we're having fun, this is pretty damn cool". Also includes a young and characteristically nervous Daniel Johnston pitching his breakout album, so that's something, I suppose.
