Not bad, not great. The opening sequence with Wolverine is perfect and things go downhill from there. Casting is hit and miss with Patrick Stewart being the living avatar of Professor X and Hugh Jackman doing very well as everyone's favorite mutant, but James Marsden and Halle Berry are flat awful and mute the energy of any scene they are in. Script is only okay as it was re-written to death.

If Nolan's Batman and Favreau's Iron Man had never come to fruition, this film might be an acceptable adaptation of one of the most beloved characters in the X-Men cannon. Emphasis on the 'might'.
