Summary: Tony's father Sam, abducted by aliens three years earlier, returns to earth and seeks out his wife and son, but Rachel has since been living with Joe and the reunion is awkward. Joe doesn't trust Sam, and Rachel can't quite decide what her feelings are for her two men. Sam is not the same as when he left, and he begins affecting Tony in frightening ways. (imdb)

Off-kilter like Manos. A bizarre and occasionally really disturbing experience, but awkwardly paced.

A terrible film that is "saved" with a few scenes. The first ten minutes, and the GI Joe doll scene are the only things I would recommend.

Muddled, boring and laden with cheap, oozy effects this lame sci-fi/gore effort limps all over the place, offering weirdness and jump scares, but no explanations. There are 3 scenes worth seeing: Maryam d'Abo topless (*schwing*), an old lady being stalked and terrorized by a life sized GI Joe doll, and a woman giving birth to a full grown man. These moments alone can't quite redeem the film, though

Some great creature designs and stunningly horrific scenes but the overall piece is dragged down by the awful characters and lack of story beyond the tedious love triangle

Quite bad, but worth watching for few unforgettable scenes.

It's got some really memorable (aka. gross) scenes that I doubt one will ever forget. However, on a whole, it feels like a terrible mash-up between Alien and It (admittedly this is a retrospective analysis considering It came out 3 years after this). The worst offender in the film has to be the soundtrack, it is absolutely horrendous, even by 80's standards.
