I did laugh once that's how it scored some points, by 2008 Sandler's comedies have completely run out of juice.

Perhaps it was the low expectations I went into this film with, that meant I enjoyed it much more than I was expecting?! Given the general low standard of Sandler's style of comedy over the last decade or so I really did think this would be fucking awful. But what can I say! I enjoyed it! Lighthearted and refreshingly slapstick, the first half of the film is pretty funny, but the second half drags and repeats, as this film is quite a bit too long. Give it a chance!

A movie that does exactly what it says on the tin: it's a stupid, relatively tasteless, extremely funny movie that is definitely among the top few films of Sandler's career. If you liked Happy Gilmore, you'll enjoy this... just sit back, and enjoy the ride. However, while it's mostly Sandler providing the laughs, Turturro and (to my surprise) Schneider both pull in a couple of giggles apiece, the former in a couple of hilarious fight scenes. Well worth a watch.
