An entertaining and fun variation on the old Bob Hope/Lou Costello "coward-in-a-spooky-house" cliche.

Karloff, Lorre and Lugosi used sparingly in a mediocre vehicle for Kay Kyser. Jokes are bland as is the music. Lorre's performance stands out the most, with all three seemingly relishing their scenes together. This would be all but forgotten without its horror stars.
