The two main characters here are suicide-obsessed goth/emo/whatever girls who react to the corruption of society with apathy instead of a will to create or fight and fail to recognize love and caring when it's right in front of them. I didn't like them at first, but as the film went on they grew on me, and so did the film itself. It went from rather irritating to genuinely moving and came out as a subtle but very powerful film about important issues.
