Kind of bland and not very funny. The jokes seemed all the same, yet I'll give it a ok rating because Natalie Portman almost makes it worth watching.

The movie itself is moronic, though the actors were very well cast and make it quite entertaining. The director deserves some credit as well.

It is a nice change to see a fantasy movie that is not PG. There are many very silly and funny scenes in this movie. Not all the jokes work but there are plenty that do. Danny Mcbride, Natalie Portman, Zooey Deschanel and James Franco all have a lot of fun with their roles. If you are in the mood for a silly comedy/fantasy movie then check this one out.

Absolute trash. I'm a big fan of Danny McBride's brash, crude shock comedy, but this film is just a complete mess. The stupidity of this film is to the point of unbearable.

why do movie makers think that comedy has to do so much with sex? here you have it, not entertaining & not even one laugh in it like I was in a funeral.

Two things are worth seeing: N. Portman and Z.Deschanel. Sex jokes are retarded and annoying. Seriously I'd expected more geek/gamer humor along with references to games yet they've served me just dirty talk. If I wanted that, I would called hot line. And due to latter, everything else stinks. Plot is really bad even for a comedy, enemies are pathetic and there are even more stupid things that I don't have time to list.

Thadeous and Fabious (Danny McBride and James Franco) are two sons of King Tallious (Charles Dance). They are both warriors, but Fabious is dashing and skilled and Thadeous is lazy and ineffectual with both an inferiority complex and poor track record in quest taking. While celebrating his latest victory over the evil sorcerer who has been ravaging Tallious's kingdom, Leezar (Justin Theroux), Fabious introduces the virgin Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel) he freed from a tower and wishes to marry her

Green has more than succeeded in reimagining and proudly trumping everything he might remember about what is tawdry and trashy. Violent and vulgar. Oh, and putrid and obscene, too. He tosses in the rapist Minotaur's sexual anatomy to up the outrage ante. But he hardly needed to. The rest of the film is already so foul that you—and I certainly don't say this to minimize it—barely even notice with so much muck swirling around on the screen. (pluggedin.com)

I like crude humour when it's good. This one's not. I like all the actors, and they're as good as they always are. This makes the film barely bearable, but a waste of time nonetheless. It brings you close to a chuckle at times, but never gets you there. The comedy is just not there. Not even close to Pineapple, which wasn't so hot itself.

When I saw the first trailer for this, I thought it might actually be decent. I should’ve known, however, that almost no comedy movies are any good these days. I chuckled a couple of times, but it almost felt like it was out of pity. A medieval comedy is not a bad idea, but this was not executed well. It was messy. Pretty much the only thing I liked about it were some of the actors. I can’t really recommend this film though.
