This is the best Bulgarian cinema can offer at the moment, so, please, avoid Bulgarian cinema and this movie in particular at any costs. Should you, however, sit through this smelly, boring and extremely anti-funny piece crap till the end, you may notice a pleasant side effect - it begins to seem that mentally challenged individuals like Tarantino and Rodriguez actually are not so shallow and dumb as you have initially thought.

A film of contrasts, heavy influenced by classic film noirs and neo-noirs. In fact, it follows all genre conventions step by step. But at the same time, camera angles are worthy of modern experimental video art flick. It is soaked in east-Europeanism. And Kafka. Filled with metaphors from university course of philosophy. Yes Zift is truly unusual film, and it successfully mimics the noir genre through its own unique prism, but doesn't really stand as a good movie on it's own.
