Summary: The action is set in a doll's house mock-up of a Victorian nursery. Cardboard figurines dance, china dolls consume each other, armies of tin soldiers are pummeled to dust by a porcelain baby whilst a large black cat weaves a pathway of destruction through the surrounding chaos. Jabberwocky celebrates childhood, but with its anarchic and violent imagery, it is no sugared idyll.

I love how I'm not the only one who wanted to say "oh god that fucking cat" in my criticker review. Anyway, seriously, the cat is amazing and I lost it every time it came on. The surrealism does what surrealism does... it confuses the hell out of me, so I just have to stop and enjoy the images.

A fair number of the surrealist elements work -- not all, and some significantly better than others -- but the ties to Jabberwocky are beyond meaningless and ultimately it goes on for too long, becoming little more than a parody of itself in the process.

Good surreal stop-motion film about childhood (?). As most of the times with surrealism I don't even try to get into the story. Those images are enough for me to enjoy the film and make something personal of it.
