A great movie, with a great execution of the story. One of best fight scenes as well.

Possibly one of the most twisted and interesting revenge films of all time. At no point does this come off as predictable or even boring. The depth of the story sweeps the viewer into the plot, even into it's most uncomfortable lows.

Lesson learned from the Vengeance Trilogy: Do not fuck with Koreans.

Fantastic, if somewhat disturbing film. A great story of revenge, love, and contempt.

This film is brutal. To be honest, I wouldn't say it's the masterpiece everyone else thinks it is, but it is damn good. Personally, If you're looking for an epic revenge flick from a talented Korean cast and crew, I would recommend A Bittersweet Life first.

That shits off the hizzook! So fucked up, in a wonderful postmodern way. ...umm..yeah...its sweet.

Awesome. I love movies that don't hold back, and this one certainly did not. I guarantee this movie will get a reaction out of you.

A well thought out plot with mediocre acting, an overly severe attempt to be "cool", and a strange sense of something just being "off" about the presentation.

A fascinating film unlike any other I have seen. The delightfully twisted plot is what makes this movie special, even if some of the violence seems gratuitously icky (especially at the end). The scene where he fights his way through the corridor is one of my favorite action scenes in cinema - it's incredibly unrealistic that one guy could take out dozens, but if it were to happen, it would probably look something like this.

A tour de force of directing tecnique and subtle, amazing tricks. The more you study film, the better this one gets. Oh, and the fight scenes and story are mind-blowing both.

It's a pretty good movie. Though I thought it was a little long (and that may be understating it). I think they probably could've cut out a good chunk of it and the movie wouldn't have suffered at all. Nevertheless it had an excellent beginning and a good twist at the end (and I hate that term a lot).

Japanese action genre at it's very best. It's bloody, messy and very Japanese. I loved it.

Basically a pretty evil (or just po-mo) film, that is rather tedious all the same. Draws on a peculiar immoral solipsism, although artfully filmed with decent acting. Things just happen inexplicably, brutally, to people acting as if they were in a cartoon, with none of the consequences or frames of reference of the real world. Scene after scene, that might have been interesting if not contentless, and full of pointless rhetorical questions. I gave up before half-way, but the ending didn't help.
