Eric Rohmer (24 features, 4 shorts, 2557 minutes) 5. François Truffaut (21 features, 3 shorts, 2269 minute...

Re: Who are the ten directors you have seem the most films b
I think it's probably more meaningful to go by total (approximate) runtime. I keep somewhat detailed information about what I watch. 1. Woody Allen (45 films, 4021 minutes) 2. Eric Rohmer (28 films, 2557 minutes) 3. Alfred Hitchcock (23 films, 2511 minutes) 4. Billy Wilder (21 films, 2477 minutes) 5...

Re: Do you try to rate movies "objectively"?
My ratings are pretty much meaningless. Unless I feel strongly otherwise, I normally just use the PSI as my score. I have a very hard time quantifying how much I liked a film.

Re: Which director have you seen the most films by?
I've become more obsessive about my logging, so here are my most-seen directors by total duration of the films seen. In the case of films with multiple directors, the duration is divided evenly between the directors, so the numbers aren't perfect because of GONE WITH THE WIND and such. Woody Allen (...

Re: Halfway point 2011
I haven't seen any 2011 films yet, but here are ten that are probably my favourites seen this year so far. Boyfriends and Girlfriends (1987, Eric Rohmer) Remember the Night (1940, Mitchell Leisen) Bob & Ted & Carol & Alice (1969, Paul Mazursky) Late Spring (1949, Yasujiro Ozu) Johnny Gui...

Re: PTP - Pass The Popcorn
thus far, everything i downloaded on karagarga, I've found on ptp. Are there films that that are on Karagarga that aren't on PTP, I'm certain of it. But yes, PTP does target another audience - and that's the "all movies" audience. The top 10 lists is full of new releases, so i guess it's ...

Re: trojan on criticker?
I actually did infected; it was an annoying rootkit that my anti-virus somehow didn't pick up.

What do you screen your movies on?
Seeing as I almost never buy or rent DVDs, I watch stuff I've downloaded on a computer hooked up to a 46'' Sharp HDTV I got a couple of years ago. I've been considering getting some sort of sound system to accompany it, but the speakers are pretty respectable, so I've been putting it off. Overall, I...
