Well, I think that The Holy Mountain is a stunning film that all should watch, so if you find it too incomprehensible and feel an absolute lack of motivation to continue watching it, commentary might help. Some time after watching The Holy Mountain for the first time, you must jump back in for a re-watch with commentary. It explains quite a bit, especially all those new age symbols.
