Re: Ben Affleck is Batman
In other words, Affleck's "training" will consist of sitting around on a beach, sipping an alcoholic beverage? The Batman role is both dull and easy. Yeah, it's absolutely not necessary to train for a muscular body when you're portraying Batman. I'm sure Affleck can sit on his ass until s...

Re: Ben Affleck is Batman
Again, "wholly independent super-characters"? I'm not sure why you even wonder "how they would do it" - it's already been done in a plethora of comic-books for decades . If you don't like the idea of a Superman/Batman team-up, fine. Blame the comic book writers. They're already i...

Re: Ben Affleck is Batman
To be fair, Superman/Batman is its own comic book series as is the upcoming Justice League (which actually started before The Avengers). None of this is very new. I'm not going to argue that this along with most other superhero films isn't jumping on the way overfilled bandwagon, but it's not like t...

Re: Ben Affleck is Batman
It's not really about the "talent required" per se. I just can't see Affleck as a convincing Batman. He's going to be very different from Bale, which could be a bit jarring considering how Bale has pretty much nailed the role down at this point. Affleck is more like a Clooney. Really stran...

Re: PSI Problem
Any update on this? It's kind of crippling the recommendations aspect of this site when it occurs. I mean, a PSI I got just now is completely ridiculous. http://i.imgur.com/rM35nC5.png This should have a PSI of 80+. I'm not sure how pervasive this issue is and I'm sure you're already looking into it...

"Stars Overall" profile picture links
I just noticed you can click any profile picture on the Stars Overall page and be directed to m which seems to land you in a random film page every time. Is that meant to happen? Profile pictures and film posters generally aren't clickable on other pages as far as I can see, so I thought this was st...

Re: 3 Avatar sequels coming, anybody excited?
I really liked the first film, and seeing as James Cameron made two of my favorite sequels ever I'm not adverse to a sequel. Three seems like two too many though.

Re: Average score matters more than average tier.
Isn't that a problem not so much with specific users though, but with specific scores by that user? The problem emerges because the direcors each happen to have films ranked only 1 point apart, but 1 whole tier apart. This happening occasionally is one of the inherent drawbacks of the tier system. H...

Re: The ten lowest-scoring actors
Checked my list and found it was pretty much not very interesting - 6 of my bottom 8 are the supporting cast of the Twilight-series. Most of the others also have terrible franchises account for most of my rankings. So none are big surprises. From worst to "best": 1. Taylor Lautner (3.57, 7...

Re: Average score matters more than average tier.
I feel like time and time again someone comes up with a "the tier system doesn't work" argument. And time and time again there's a good reason why the system is superior to the alternatives, re: movieboy's post. That said, I can imagine that there are still occasions where someone might wa...
