Re: Upcoming in 2016

Here's a foreign film you would be able to watch, Stewie. It has no dialogue! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_Turtle

Re: Upcoming in 2016

Oh Stewie, get over yourself. There are languages other than English, you know! Anyway, a few films I'd like to add to this thread that haven't been mentioned yet: The Handmaiden (Park Chanwook, 2016) American Honey (Andrea Arnold, 2016) The Unknown Girl (The Dardennes Bros, 2016) Loving (Jeff Nicho...

Re: Nothing responding on "check out your..." and "your messages" sections

... adblock?! ADBLOCK?! You should know how we feel about that! How are you going to see the fabulous new offers from all our advertisers? (And how are we supposed to survive as a free website?) No, but seriously, we should figure what's going on here -- the only thing we've done recently is to set...

Re: Nothing responding on "check out your..." and "your messages" sections

I'm having issues as well. The "check out your..." section isn't working at all nor are the tabs on a movie's profile ("Ratings", "Find", "Collections", "Stats").

I'm using Chrome.

Re: Comparing the decades

It was a time when many great directors were trying to do genuinely new things. In my view, fewer directors today are really trying to push the cinematic art form into new territory, or perhaps are simply not able to do so, for one reason or another. Well, I might be wrong here, but it seems like t...

Re: So far, 2016 movies are.....

I've only seen two 2016 movies released so far this year and both have been good ( Hail, Caesar! and The Witch ). Next month Midnight Special comes out, which I look forward to. I haven't seen the number of films you've seen, but so far I can't complain. Every year is a good year for the movies. I c...

Re: Final Toll for Horror?

Well, The Witch is about the anxieties and social dynamics of early settlers in 1630s America, so if you have a passing interest in American history, it's a fun period film. It captures the mood of the times in an unsettling way. It's not entirely successful, but it's worth seeing and there are a lo...

Re: Final Toll for Horror?

Stewball, you should check out The Witch. It comes out this Friday. It does look different, sort of an historical take, but is that just a come on for an ambush? Looks better than Risen anyway. Hah, no, there is no ambush. I'm just saying, you claim horror is over, yet a really cool looking horror ...
