Is 10,000 B.C bad?

Postby jnmovie on Sun Mar 16, 2008 7:45 pm

Lately i have been somewhat looking forward to the release of 10,000 B.C, and I've been really suprised by the feedback I've heard from the critics. Is it really that bad?

Though I haven't seen it, judging by it's director, I'll give it a shot and guess that it's an awful film with awesome special effects. Then again, if you liked 'Independence Day' and 'The Day After Tomorrow'...

I've seen all the bad feedback, particuarly here on Criticker, but I still want to see it. In fact all these negative reviews have probably made me more curious, partly to see whether everyone is right, partly to see how bad it actually is.

I've seen bits of it... it's really terrible. Easily the most historically inaccurate film I have personally seen, and has nothing at all but special effects to back it up.

Haha... yes. The film isn't funny enough to pull off a name like that. Me and Bok dong had to watch it in school... thankfully I stayed home, but yeah, I've seen a few clips of it and obviously not enough to give the film a legitimate rating of course.

This is pretty much spot on as I had the exact same thing to say.

It starts off deceptively and the mammoth hunt looks promising, until you can tell it's blue screened and it looks like something out of bad 70's sci-fi. From that point it literally nose-dives into a completely horrid film.

Watch Apocalypto instead.
