Re: UK TV Film Recommendations 14/7 - Smiles of a Summer Night

Post by paulofilmo »

Sounds like a Yentob Imagine, and based on photography. Followed by an exciting sounding Brit film. Then Bergman.

Re: UK TV Film Recommendations 21/7 -

Last week's Imagine, The Colourful Mr Eggleston, was one of the best programs I've seen on television within the last year. It's available up until the 4th of August on the iPlayer, but I recommended that it is watched as soon as possible.

Following tonight's Imagine, --which is about art's strength through adversity-- is Jim Jarmusch's Broken Flowers. Also: Lone Star, Being John Malkovich.. among others.

Re: UK TV Film Recommendations 29/7 - Beautiful Troublemaker

Post by paulofilmo »

On frustratingly late, but Beautiful Troublemaker is on World Movies (Sky 331). As is one of the films in my Priority collection, an adaptation of a Tennessee Williams play: The Night of the Iguana on TCM.

Also, Half Nelson is available on the iPlayer for a few more days.

Re: UK TV Film Recommendations 21/8 - Loads on/ noir wknd

Post by paulofilmo »

Just a really great day. I can't decide between giving The Pianist a second chance, or having a noir binge.
Shall prolly plump for the latter.
