Philip Roth is my favorite author, but there's yet to be a decent adaptation of one of his books yet. (Of course, I've not seen Elegy yet.)

I don't know why I focused on Phillip Noyce like that. I think I've only seen one of his films, and the direction was pretty dire.

Fingers crossed, nevertheless.

I previously wrote that there are 3 movies I am looking forward to in 2009: Antichrist, Enter the Void, and The Tree of Life. I have now seen the first of these (see my mini-review).

But more importantly, it now seems clear that Terrence Malick is releasing not one but two new movies: The Tree of Life, the narrative film that has been known about for some time, and another documentary-type movie for IMAX, to be entitled Voyage of Time. See here:

So there are still 3 movies I am awaiting with anticipation in 2009. Additionally, the great Adam Curtis, director of The Century of the Self, is also heading in new directions. See a review of his latest here:

Were there a way for me to see this, it would definitely be added to my list. I don't know if Criticker would be able to include a work such as this in its database.
