The shower scene from “Psycho”, the last scene from “Les 400 Coups”,
choices will vary when it comes to your favorite movie scene.
Here’s my pick (take perhaps the following aspects into account:
acting, writing, cinematography, choice of music, editing,…):
Although it’s not my favorite film, the “Jupiter Mission” scene (first 3 minutes)
from Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” is my favorite scene of all time.
Acting and dialogue are pretty slim in my case (well, not a single word is uttered so…).
For those of you who haven’t seen the film: in this scene, Dr. David Bowman, Dr. Francis Poole
and three scientists (in state of hibernation) are en route to Jupiter to investigate
a radio emission that was aimed at Jupiter 18 months earlier.
I know people get bored very easily when watching this film (I was once amongst this group)
but Kubrick’s use of scale models, the harmonious and clever camera work
and choice of music (Adagio de Gayane by Khachaturian) create an arresting
and captivating atmosphere. After a while, I feel like I’m part of the crew.
Your turn: What is your favorite scene and why ?
P.S. If you find a youtube link, be sure to add it

Death scene in Suspiria
There are all kinds of deaths in cinema: sad, disturbing or funny. But that's probably the only death scene I've seen that's neither of that. When I see it I don't laugh, I'm not disgusted and I don't care about the killed characters. I'm always just totally immersed in it's beauty. Great cinematography and perfect Goblin's music make this scene unforgettable.

This should've been first in "the manliest films of all time" list.
