Rear Window Timelapse

Postby hellboy76 on Wed Apr 04, 2012 1:20 am

Just somthing interesting I ran across.

Jeff Desom using After Effects managed to create a Time Lapse Rear Window by essentially stitching together all of Jimmy Stewart's Rear Window view into at coherent time lapse. It is amazing. Watch as he puts it together and watch it play.

It's pretty cool. Presumably, one could make interesting timelapses for a much-used set/series of shots for a number of other films.

Get me a film dammit :D. I'm not sure if there are many other films that would allow to do the same since Rear Window is a pretty much special in using numerous different angles from the same frame. There are shortcuts and errors within the composite, yet it's no easy feat and the idea is neat. Thanks for sharing.

cool vid. seems like it would've been pretty labor intensive to put that together.
