I actually have not seen a single Connery Bond film (or many Bond films really at all, I think I've seen a few with Brosnan in it and Casino Royale with Daniel Craig). It's a shame too, because I think my cable provider had a collection of Bond films on demand a while back.

Just a little update on my viewing: Nothing I've watched so far has broken my top 10 of the era. So far I have watched:
It's a Wonderful Life (Tier 8)
The Caine Mutiny (Tier 4)
Cool Hand Luke (Tier 6)
Lawrence of Arabia (Tier 8)
Citizen Kane (Tier 6)

I had seen several others on members' lists (that weren't part of my top 10) before making this thread, they are:
Winter Light (Tier 6)
Wild Strawberries (Tier 3)
Dr. Strangelove (Tier 4)
The Maltese Falcon (Tier 4)
White Heat (Tier 7)
To Kill a Mockingbird (Tier 7)
West Side Story (Tier 3)
Sunset Boulevard (Tier 9)
Rear Window (Tier 9)
Sweet Smell of Success (Tier 5)
The Night of the Hunter (Tier 4)
Touch of Evil (Tier 8)
Psycho (Tier 7)

I know some of these will strike some people dumbfounded, but they are truly my opinion on these films. I'm sure some will take it that I have horrible taste (and maybe I do), but it is just that: my taste. ;) And by the way, there plenty more films in this thread for me to watch and possibly like.

If this site has taught me anything, it's that if you're looking for what you'll like the best or least, you can't go by an overall individual or group comparison on individual films. What you're doing is the only way, solicit opinions so you can check 'em out. I guess we're just all too damn different.

Almost 30% of my rankings are pre-70s, including a large chunk of my favorite movies which I've given a clean 100 score.

Here are my top 11, in no order as it would be too hard to compare them:

Angels of the Streets (1943)
Bellissima (1951)
A Difficult Life (1961)
Gertrud (1964)
Night and the City (1950)
Shadows of our Forgotten Ancestors (1964)
Z (1969)
Adieu Philippine (1962)
12 Angry Men (1957)
Ladies of the Park (1945)
La Strada (1954)
