There's a website called TheSixtyOne
that I frequent. If you're familiar with Digg, imagine that, but for music.
Artists submit their songs, and users spend points to "bump" them. The more bumps a song receives, the closer it gets to the homepage, where thousands of listeners see it at once. If a song does well after you bump it, you get points back and level up--unlocking achievements and things as you go. It's a lot of fun, and it has basically single-handedly restored my faith in modern music.
My user name on there is arcadia as well, if anyone decides to hit it up, lemme know!
