General Questions : Why can't I submit Screenwriter info during submission?

OK, I am really struggling to understand this - every field on a movie profile page is the result of what the user has entered when submitting the movie, except the 'Written By' (Screenwriters) field(s) which, for some weird reason, the Admins have decided that they'll just copy/paste from IMDB when approving the movie.

So what if the info is not available on IMDB OR if the information is wrong in IMDB? When submitting obscure movies, which is the lion's share of my submissions, if the option to submit the writers was available, I could have submitted the info (which is not available in IMDB, but which I know, as I have just finished watching the movie) first-hand. By the time the movie is approved 7 days later, I lose track of it and this way some 600+ movies I think is missing the writer information.

You think you can enable that field when submitting a movie?
