Dr Strangelove and Monty Python's Life of Brian are both absolutely hysterical, probably the funniest movies I've ever seen...both made in the UK so foreign to me.

This is Spinal Tap and Heathers are two of the funniest American films I've ever seen, and since I'm Canadian, they're foreign to me.

However, I think the intention of the topic was for funny foreign language films...the funniest of which I've seen was probably Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle.

If it's foreign language, (ruling out Johnny English), I would go with Jean Reno's "The Visitors" and Stephen Chow's "Shaolin Soccer".

One year later I'm here to tell you that I agree. When the dude came down the ramp in the wheelchair and did the completely superfluous spin, I nearly shit myself.

I remember finding Caro Diaro quite hilarious when I saw it some years ago.

Is Dinner Game the one they're remaking into a Paul Rudd movie? I've had it on my watchlist for years now. Need to get around to tracking it down.

Ya, they're remaking it. I was excited when I first heard about it, but the trailers look terrible :(

Also, I've recently seen a little Korean rom-com called Spring Bears Love that I found surprisingly hilarious for a whim pick. Swing Girls and For Fun were a couple of other funny comedies I'd reccomend. And Caro Diaro sounds pretty interesting.

I lean more toward black comedy, often without any jokes and purely based on some level of cosmic irony or biting satire, and I'm always digging for more... but it's tough. I'll make a list, starting with those that are more 'funny' and getting to those that are darker, better, more insidiously delicious.

Miraculous Virgin
Case for a Rookie Hangman
Daisies
Flickorna
Celebration in the Botanical Garden

Satyricon
Lola
Underground
Devils on the Doorstep
My Nights Are More Beautiful Than Your Days
Birds, Orphans, and Fools

The Party and the Guests
The Round Up
Diabel
The Cremator

Bold represents... well it's got Zulawski in it, of course it means amazing.

Smala Sussie / Slim Susie. Though I think you have to understand Swedish to really enjoy it. Which is a shame because it is so so funny.

Also, a bit of a forgotten film it seems to me, Bernie, with and directed by Albert Dupontel (from Irreversible).

Yeah, I was laughing my ass when I he was wearing that. I would say that movie had some of the best comedic action scenes I have ever seen (or at least the largest number of them).
