At least we will have a unique look at how much that particular editor influenced his films, right?

That being said, considering the record-level heat we have had in LA the past week, trekking around in the mountains, especially for a 56 year old woman, was not a good idea. Hell, I'm a 23 year old guy with good cardio, and I still get exhausted when going out there during the colder months. And always travel with a group, so that if God forbid something bad happens, or you get too tired, someone will be there to help. (That's my PSA of the week!)

Anyways, rest in peace, Sally Menke.

With all due respect to Mr. Giraldo, if you had told me yesterday that "a famous stand-up comedian is going to OD on drugs tomorrow", he would have been one of my top two choices, if not THE top pick. Giraldo did as much as drugs as an entire 80's rock band combined, and unlike most, it was painfully evident during his performances and appearances.

Well, not everyone is a fucking Keith Richards; sometimes, drug addicts die in return for their amusement.

And truthfully, he wasn't that good of a comedian, either. No big loss.

Ah, now that is truly quite sad! He was a legitimately talented actor with a wide diversity of roles. Unlike Menke and especially Giraldo, he died through absolutely no fault of his own. 85 is a good, long time to live, but nevertheless, RIP.
