The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

(you have to figure out which movie it was)

My favourite quote from the same movie - People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.

So sure I haven't seen such a cinematic scene, I shall search for some serenity in seeking solutions. Should this film be Schindler's List or Seven Samurai?

Not sure if you are asking in earnest, because you have seen the movie - it's from V for Vendetta.

Yes, that quote is less fun but of much more import. It just doesn't come to mind that readily because it's so obvious--to us that understand the inherent danger of government that is  . BTW, has it ever struck you that it was an odd thing for Alan Moore to have one of his characters say? I mean, it sort of validates government in a back handed sort of way as opposed to his anarchistic preferences. The quote may not have been in his comic though.

Johnny: How dare you talk to me like that!
[pushes Lisa back on the couch]
Johnny: You should tell me everything!
Lisa: I can't talk right now.
Johnny: [sits next to Lisa] Why, Lisa? Why, Lisa? Please talk to me, please! You are part of my life! You are everything! I could not go on without you, Lisa.
Lisa: You're scaring me.
[Lisa gets up, but Johnny also gets up]
Johnny: You're lying! I never hit you! You are tearing me apart, Lisa!
Lisa: Why are you so hysterical?

I was kidding, I don't know why I like making jokes about Schindler's List because I found it to be a great film that was very moving, but yeah. Kidding. Also just parodying the alliteration from the V for Vendetta quote. Not quite as impressive, but that is a hard one to top.

This is one of the best quotes ever from one of the best movies ever.

Bruce Wayne: So why steal them?
Alfred Pennyworth: Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I always liked Willis' delivery of the following 2 quotes from The 5th Element:

Mr. Kim: You got a message.
Korben Dallas: Yeah
Mr. Kim: You're not gonna open it? It might be important.
Korben Dallas: Yeah, like the last two I got were important. The first one was from my wife, telling me she was leaving. The second was from my lawyer, telling me he was leaving... with my wife.

President Lindberg: There's a ball of fire, 1,200 miles in diameter heading straight for Earth and we have no idea how to stop it. That's the problem.
Korben Dallas: How much time do we have?
Scientist's aide: If its speed remains constant, an hour and fifty-seven minutes.
Korben Dallas: I'll call you back in two hours. [hangs up]

A classic film moment from Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man:

William Blake, a geeky accountant from Cleveland, has traveled out west in hopes of landing of job at Dickinson's metalworks. He demands to see Mr Dickinson, who greets him with a loaded shotgun.

"Who the hell are you? And where'd you get that god damn clown suit? Cleveland?"

:D
