They both sound interesting. Too bad about "Gravity", because I have strict "no Sandra Bullock" policy.

I don't have faith in her either, but Cuaron's last directorial effort was one of the greatest science-fiction films in the history of cinema.

I agree, Cuaron hasn't directed a film in 6 years, so him being back in the director's chair grabs my attention already, regardless of who's in it. And all the things I've heard about it, such as an almost 20-minute long opening long take, or the actors not wearing makeup, just sparks my interest even more.

Another sci-fi film that's caught my eye is the upcoming Tom Tykwer/Wachowski sibling directed Cloud Atlas. It's something very ambitious, so it's either going to be awesome or a failure, especially considering the Wachowski's track record. Either way, I'll be there.

Really? Indirect tie-in and using the background of original, instead of making it an alien checklist is why I consider it to have a slight chance of being any good, it has to stand on it's own merits.

I am not saying it would be good as a full out Alien flick, but it seems to be saying no it has nothing to do with Aliens oh but watch it cause it has something to do with Aliens and we want the money that crowd will bring in. I pray it IS good as there is a severe lack of decent sci-fi and Scott has shown at least at one point, that he is perfectly capable of crafting superb sci-fi.

haven't there been rumors every few years about ender's game for the past fifteen years? i'm skeptical. i'm stoked for prometheus and looper, i'll have to see some more previews to care about anything else.

They're actually trying to move forward now, with Gavin Hood directing, and Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley in adult roles. Tentative release date is in March 2013.

I liked Ender's Game when I read it as a young teenager, but now that I'm older I feel I probable wouldn't like it as much; it gives me that vibe that it's something that's geared to appeal to teenage angst. That, combined with Hood's poor track record (from what I've seen), means I'm not too excited for this. I'll see what the reviewers say.

Yeah, in the past, I've always been excited about Ender's Game rumors. Now that it seems more certain than ever before, I'm actually kind of dreading it. I feel like I'm watching a disaster in slow-motion.

Surprisingly good trailer, and I love Britcomedy. That being said, I'm so damn sick of "zombie" anything these days. Decisions decisions...
