Feature Requests : Searching movie + user

There is one great improvement needed to the navigability of this website. Say I am interested in the rankings or reviews of user mpowell (either because I like his views or because I am a friend of his). I hear about a particular movie, and I wonder what mpowell's view of the film was, so I want to check it out on Criticker. It seems to me that as things stand there is no easy way of doing so.

I would like to propose two changes that I believe would remedy this problem. First, when I go to a user's profile page, there should be a box where I can enter a movie title (similarly to the way I search for a movie to add to a collection), and bring up that particular user's ranking and review for the film. Second, when I go to a film page, there should be a box where I can enter a username, and, again, bring up that user's ranking and review of that page's film.

By having both these options, it will be possible to cover two situations: (1) I go to a user's page and can look up his/her review of Film A, then Film B, then Film C, and so on; and (2) I go to a film page, and can look up the reviews by User A, User B, User C and so on.

I believe these changes would greatly improve the sense that when I visit the Criticker website, I can readily obtain the specific piece of information I am interested in reading.

This is a decent idea, but you can almost achieve this now using the Kumpel feature. Add someone whose reviews you like as a kumpel, and you can filter on any film page to only show the reviews/ratings of your kumpels.

Bravo! Yeah, there are ways of getting around this but they are all UNRELENTING AGONY.

Another Hack to achieve this.

If the movie name is ABC & the user name is PQR, then try the link
http://www.criticker.com/film/ABC/rating/PQR/

This will open up the page for film ABC & will highlight PQR's Rating/MiniReview of the film in the Right hand side Ratings window. If your Show option is set to "All ratings" this will always work as long has PQR has rater ABC. However, if your Show option is set to "With Reviews" then it will work only if PQR has written a mini-review for the movie. Your OrderBy option also has to be set to "TCI".

One can probably create a browser plugin/or a search box which can directly take us to the page if one inputs ABC and PQR.
