Scratch the "probably".

Yeah, this gap is pretty bad.

21 Jump Street is 93/94%. :o Is it really any good ( ), or are critics and audiences just lowering the bar?

I'm so hungry for any kind of real sustenance, it's gonna be like injecting The Hunger Games straight into a vein. But will the aisles then be littered with ODs on empty calories?

In desperation, I went across town to see Coreolanus on Monday. Make that Coreolanus.

What the fuck movies were you watching? Last year was amazing.

Anyway, the theaters are pathetic right now. The only things worth seeing are the remaining leftovers from 2011, (Mainly The Artist and Hugo, but some arthouses have A Separation).

Interesting, but I guess this happens only in US since in Poland right now almost every week there is some new exciting premiere.

09.03 - Bır Zamanlar Anadolu'da (Nuri Bilge Ceylan )
16.03 - This Must Be the Place (Paolo Sorrentino)
23.03 - Elena (Andrei Zvyagintsev)
30.03 - Torinói ló, A (Béla Tarr )
06.04 - nothing interesting?
13.04 - Chispa de la vida, La (Álex de la Iglesia ); Arirang (Ki-duk Kim )
20.04 - Sitter, The (David Gordon Green )
27.04 - Iron Sky (Timo Vuorensola); Four Lions (Christopher Morris)
04.05 - Raid, The (Gareth Evans)

The Avengers and Battleship are both looking real weak, and I'm starting to have questions about MIB3.

Malick's Voyage of Time has timed out for 2012, bumped up a year (or more???)

OK, looks like Emma Stone took one look at this and told 'em, OK, it's him or me. But Andrew Garfield? Out of the frying pan etc........?

It really is appalling right now. I haven't been to the theater to see a movie since The Grey in the first week of February...

There's nothing playing at the moment that's worth more than 10 seconds of my time, and there's nothing coming out that looks remotely interesting until Mid April. The Cabin in the Woods looks to have some potential, and Safe looks like another "entertaining if nothing overly amazing" Jason Statham actioner.

And none of the "big" releases for May or June look interesting to me at all. *sigh* This could be the worst summer blockbuster season in years. I hope to be proven wrong....
