Before watching the film, I thought Sarah Palin was suffering from some kind of mental illness; something slightly milder than mental retardation.
After watching Game Change and doing a bit more reading on Palin I've come to see her as a well-intentioned but profoundly ignorant person who was at first overwhelmed by the spotlight and then comitragically consumed by it.
The whole debacle reminds me a bit of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The political scientists in the republican party, in their efforts to create the perfect presidential running mate, select an oblivious redneck to infuse with the best that republican political science has to offer -- catchy slogans, attractive wardrobe and effective debate tactics among them. But in their arrogance these scientists ignore the risks of their experiment and accidentally create a monster who runs amok.
I don't even know where to begin with this amateur psychologist trainwreck of a post. Palin was/is no different than Obama; they're both young politicans with no real experience or accomplishments made popular by gimmicks unrelated to their actual ability. (Palin is an attractive woman, Obama is half black) Difference is that one ran for President and the other for a far less important office that typically has little direct influence, Vice President. And of course, one is Republican, so she is demonized, and other is Democrat, so he is deified by the US media.
I don't like Palin in the slightest and disagree with her on many issues, but the number of factually incorrect and baseless statements in your post are incredible. (Since when is an Alaskan a redneck, by the way?!)
I will just note that Palin's most notorious "idiocy" about dinosaurs was a lie concocted by a blogger and then blindly repeated on SNL and everywhere else;

Meanwhile, there are
videos like this which that same media ignores. Can you imagine the field day they would have if any Republican said something so stupid?
