[FIXED] ' character eats search terms

Post by livelove »

steps to reproduce the problem:

1. enter a multiword search term with an apostrophe (') somewhere in between, e.g. "it's just a test"
2. on the results page http://www.criticker.com/?st=all&h=it%27s+just+a+test scroll all the way down
3. click on "next"
4. all characters right to the apostrophe get eaten alive

expected behaviour: the "next" URL should be http://www.criticker.com/?st=all&h=It%2 ... est&page=2
actual behaviour: the "next" URL is http://www.criticker.com/?st=all&h=it

i think this is happening with more than one character because it is currently impossible to search for this movie:

Yes, there is some strange behavior currently with the search functionality that we are looking into. We'll add this apostrophe problem to the bug notes.

We've done some work and cleaned up the issues mentioned here:
*next page for search terms that include an apostrophe
*search on films with commas

Please let us know if other errors pop up!
