After a few years of making gritty, underground films he met up with Aswad and formed Full Circle Filmworks in 2001. Among his early influences were Doris Wishman, Orson Welles and Stanley Kubrick. Quentin Tarantino once described Sean Weathers as the "king of New York City underground film."
