Mini-Review: Was very much affected by this movie, and enjoyed some of the long shots but sometimes had trouble getting into the kind of mental mode necessary.
Mini-Review: A biased review, but I was totally sucked into this movie and was left shaken after I finished.
Mini-Review: Enjoyed watching this but feel that it isn't very deep. The difficult subjects this movie deals with felt like they had been just dropped into it, with calculated 'realism'. It felt a bit too 'everyday' & artificial. A longer timeline seeing these people grow up and see how they're lives are affected by Israelis (f.ex. people mourning and then many joining the resistance movement and later their father co-operating with Israelis) Shots that'd easily transmit the roots of their anger to my heart.
Mini-Review: I'm not sure I've ever seen a film with as inspiring lead character as Philippe and almost certainly they haven't been real. This is at times as exciting as a thriller and yet a very much like a good documentary. The combination works amazingly well and it comes together seemingly effortlessly. I think I'd like to have known more about his life both as an adult and growing up so that's why I don't give it a perfect score. But by far the best documentary I've seen, I was deeply touched & inspired
Mini-Review: Good score for probably the best depiction of young 'love' I've seen - really brings up repressed feelings
Mini-Review: I gave a good score mainly because of the theme of the movie and that it wasn't handled badly.
Mini-Review: I'm totally biased because I was raised as a JW and was very serious about it. This movie really touched me.
