84 T6 Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) - May 23, 2013
"Should have been called: "JJ Abrams remakes Wrath of Khan", still it's a wonderful ride. I really enjoy the cast and the action is good. Unfortunately it followed the original too closely while trying to make various homages. I'm just waiting for JJ to grab this series and make it his own."
92 T10 Django Unchained (2012) - May 23, 2013
"Tarantino does a western similar to the way he did a WW2 action movie (Inglourious Bastards) with an amazing script, over-the-top violence, and a talented cast playing interesting characters. If this is formulaic I could care less because it's film making at its finest!"
82 T5 Iron Man 3 (2013) - May 10, 2013
"Great script, direction, acting, and casting. Nothing really detracts from this movie other than the fact that we've seen a lot of Iron Man in the past 10 years. "
78 T4 Oblivion (2013) - Apr 22, 2013
"Visually pleasing, intriguing story, well acted, decent music, definitely worth watching. Classic sci-fi feel without a focus on special effects and mindless action."
55 T1 Sinister (2012) - Mar 11, 2013
"It felt a bit like your run-of-the-mill supernatural evil film that only exists to intrigue you with it's creative death sequences, but at points it's more enjoyable than that with Ethan Hawke carrying much of the film. "
73 T3 Jack the Giant Slayer (2013) - Mar 11, 2013
"Surprisingly, I enjoyed this film. I went in expecting to be disappointed, but the film was well done. It had a whimsical feel about it, combining humor, action, and a little romance together along with solid acting from a cast of old hands and new ones. "
73 T3 Oz the Great and Powerful (2013) - Mar 11, 2013
"By not comparing this to the original film, one can enjoy it for what it is; A new story (and back story) for a familiar land we haven't visited in a long while. While not ground breaking in any way, it was enjoyable and well done. Except the Wicked Witch's eyebrows. Those bothered me tremendously."
75 T3 Dredd (2012) - Feb 08, 2013
"While as deep as a kiddie pool, this movie was done well and seriously; especially compared to it's Judge Dredd predecessor which felt corny. It was short, but felt like an episode in a comic as opposed to something so epic that it falls under it's own weight."
72 T3 Looper (2012) - Jan 08, 2013
"The story was original and the characters flawed creating a film that is thought provoking in addition to well acted. The pacing of the film was a little too steady and even though it was less than 2 hours long, it felt much longer. It also bothered me that they tried so hard to make Joseph Gordon-Levitt look like Bruce Willis. "
89 T9 Prometheus (2012) - Jun 22, 2012
"While missing some of the initial mystery and suspense of the original Alien, this film delivers a worthy prequel to a strongly established universe. What could have been a more bland result was well supported by good casting. "
