Mini-Review: Historical romantic dramas hardly ever manage to move me - still "Io, Don Giovanni"'s depiction of the 18th century poet Lorenzo da Ponte is a terrific piece of art! Carlos Saura once again show us an extrordinary story of love, passion and artistic strugles, fused with a classical score - this time Mozart's "Don Juan". Saura not only manages to reach the level he set with his "Carmen", but even beats it. "Io, Don Giovanni" is a beautiful film every minute of which is worth watching!
