48 Sucker Punch (2011) - Jul 11, 2011
Mini-Review: Well once you pass the first 20 minutes which is pretty much just one big music video you start getting into some of the cool stuff you saw in the trailer such as hot chicks fighting samurais and dragons in some great special effects. But after a while it just becomes too redundant and boring. Then you have a story lying under all this cool CGI which ends up just sucking. IGN said it best when they said that this movie should have just stayed a trailer.
76 Hostel (2005) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: Another gore fest, but this one has a solid story behind it. The kids that kill for bubble gum are some of my favorite characters ever created.
26 Hostel: Part II (2007) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: There are a lot of new horrors out there that are all about gore. Usually when I watch one of these movies they have a solid plot going on at the same time. Not this one. All gore, no backbone.
79 Fright Night (1985) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: I watched this movie after I saw they were remaking it and 26 years later this movie still holds up. Can't wait to see fantastic make up effects replaced by cheap CGI. All the characters in this movie were great, especially the main character's sketchy best friend.
86 Your Highness (2011) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: I'm upset this movie didn't do better, I thought it was hilarious, and also partially epic. It's a great mix of two genres, and I anxiously want to watch it again
31 The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie! (2010) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: There's a few funny parts but in the end this movie just leaves you glad the series ended. Also... borderline cartoon porn.
92 A Boy and His Dog (1975) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: There's a lot of remakes out there that are just unnecessary, but this is a movie that desperately needs a remake. A shot for shot remake, because this has the best post apocalyptic plot ever. But the quality of the movie makes it almost unbearable. If you can trudge through the poor quality, poor sound, and slight slowness you'll be in for various great adventures leading up to the best ending in movie history in my opinion.
90 Super 8 (2011) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: This could be the best movie of 2011. The only problem I have with it is that it's exactly what I expected. There were no surprises at all. I expected it was going to be great though so that part works out. It's a great homage to movies like The Goonies and Monster Squad and one of the better Sci-Fi movies I've seen in years.
82 X-Men: First Class (2011) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: This is a solid Xmen movie, and made me appreciate Magneto ten times more than I did walking into this movie. I would probably like it more if it was ALL about Magneto. The surprise cameos were also gold. But Banshee still sucks hard.
49 Green Lantern (2011) - Jul 09, 2011
Mini-Review: I don't think this movie is as bad as the reviews made it out to be. Now I'd probably be way more upset with it if I ever followed Green Lantern because I heard they butchered a lot of characters. I read up on Sinestro after the movie and he seems like he was a real deep character which this movie didn't show. He had alternate plans that were never made apparent in the movie. But there was no deepness to the movie, it was just a fun CGI based blockbuster.
