Mini-Review: The last great horror film (the others were Exorcist 1973 and Carrie 1979).
Mini-Review: 30 years later, it's all become true. This is a horror movie and nobody knows it.
Mini-Review: Underrated by most, Carrie is one of the three finest horror movies ever made (Exorcist 1973 and Alien 1979 being the others). Not because of its scope -- both Exorcist and Alien are far grander in epic sweep -- but because of how well the movie works, and on so many levels. DePalma KILLED. Perhaps his best film.
Mini-Review: So much better than the sum of its parts. Everything works. Why? Chemistry, from director to writer, actor to actor, music to action. This is the only musical that avergae guys will say they love.
Mini-Review: The first of a trilogy of the last, BEST horror movies ever made: Exorcist, Carrie and Alien.
Mini-Review: Subversive. Groundbreaking. Created the "Animal House" - us against them - genre and nobody's even noticed. I need a black capsule.
Mini-Review: Eastwood's best. A product of its times, it still rings true with people who believe that crime does not pay.
