Bio: I enjoy well written, directed, edited and acted films. Special effects are helpful to a good story but do not replace the essential elements of a good film.
Recent Rankings
95 The King's Speech (2010) - May 30, 2011
Mini-Review: This is a fabulous film. Probably Colin Firth's finest performance and supported very well by a fine cast, in particular Geoffrey Rush who deseres equal billing in my opinion.
15 The Hangover Part II (2011) - May 30, 2011
Mini-Review: While I found the Hangover a good laugh, Hangover 2 left me wondering why they bothered making a sequel, unless it was just to milk the first film a little more. I am disappointed.
80 Source Code (2011) - May 18, 2011
Mini-Review: Very enjoyable, very well done. I think the less you know about the film before you see it the better. Well worth seeing.
82 The Departed (2006) - Apr 28, 2011
Mini-Review: Well written and acted.
75 Decision Before Dawn (1951) - Mar 20, 2011
Mini-Review: Interesting, early post war film. Well crafted.
70 The Host (2006) - Mar 12, 2011
Mini-Review: An engaging Korean monster film. Well worth a watch.
85 The Train (1964) - Mar 08, 2011
Mini-Review: Well paced, well acted and very watchable.
80 The Other Guys (2010) - Oct 31, 2010
Mini-Review: A real hoot. Totally over the top and great fun.
55 Outlander (2008) - Oct 21, 2010
97 Inception (2010) - Jul 31, 2010
Mini-Review: Just about perfect. This is a must see movie. Extremely well written, very well acted and simply a great story. Fantastic film-making. A classic.
