Mini-Review: The funnest horror film that I've seen since Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell was released in 2009. It somehow strikes a balance between being original while lovingly embracing horror cliches.
Mini-Review: A decent movie elevated to greatness by a very good lead performance by Jennifer Lawrence. Like many book to movie adaptations, the film version isn't as good as the source material. Felt like it was missing Katniss's voice and personality, since in a movie she can't say what she's thinking. I still really enjoyed the film though. It also has good supporting performances from Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland.
