Mini-Review: One of the most famous pictures in the history of film. It's extremely epic in scope, especially for it's time period. Groundbreaking? Sure. There however are some flaws that weigh the film down, and it isn't exactly all it's cracked up to be. Personally, I liked The Wizard Of Oz and Of Mice And Men more than this, so IMO it didn't deserve Best Picture. Either way, it's a controversial film, and a damn good one at that, even if it isn't completely deserving of it's classic status. Grade: B
Mini-Review: Given how horrible PG-13 horror flick always are, Drag Me To Hell by default is one of the best ever. The comedy works in most of the attempts, and the creepy/disgusting/freak-you-out feel the movie tries to give also works. Raimi stepped up his game after he nearly ruined the Spider-Man franchise with Spider-Man 3. Overall it's something horror fans will love, and even non-horror fans may enjoy [such as myself]. Grade: B-
Mini-Review: Why was this film made? It served absolutely no purpose, leave the Terminator franchise alone already. T3 didn't ruin the legacy of the first two, it was a major step down in quality but sufficed as a strong finale to the trilogy. Then McG comes in and completely butchers the Terminator name. Not only is it a horrible film, it couldn't even manage to be mildly entertaining. Not to mention, some of the action scenes are laughable. The film is a mistake, and so is McG's existence.
Mini-Review: O' Horten moves way too slow for it's own good, and in the end accomplishes nothing. Not a complete waste of time, but not something worth remembering. Grade: C-
Mini-Review: It's hard to start to rave about this film, it's essentially perfect. The script is one of the best ever, and the film is like no other. A must see for all fans of film, the greatest film-noir ever. Grade: A
Mini-Review: Not AS bad as Meet The Spartans or Disaster Movie, but that's only because there was nowhere else to go but up from those films. All the jokes are lame, and the film is a complete fail from start to finish. Grade: F
Mini-Review: One of the worst films of the year. So unintentionally funny it could pass as a comedy. Grade: F
Mini-Review: It's basically one of the most absurd, ridiculous films I've ever seen. And at the end of the film, looking back on it, Donkey Punch is just so laughable. Grade: F
Mini-Review: It's the worst film I have ever seen from Fincher...But that's only because he's my favorite director. It's extremely thrilling, there's even elements of slight suspense in it. Well thought out, and just another great film from David Fincher.
Mini-Review: A superb comedy that is often funny and extremely well made. A real treat. Grade: B
