Mini-Review: File this one under "Films I don't get". Sure, the actors know how to cry well, but other than that, what else does it have? It's an average drama that builds almost all of its style and atmosphere off of its scenery alone. Every character in the film is obnoxious with appropriately obnoxious quotes to interject into the film's dramatic scenes, ruining any sense of poignancy or humor. A film that underhandedly uses its setting to simply set itself apart from other drama films, more or less.
