Mini-Review: The 3-D is the best I've ever seen, which is why I say "As a movie, this is a great theme park ride." But all of Tim Burton's movies are beginning to sound and look alike, and grafting Tamora Pierce teen gal empowerment crap onto Lewis Carroll is both stupid and offensive. Oh, and Tim? The name of the POEM is Jabberwocky. The name of the MONSTER is The Jabberwock.
Mini-Review: Hate compilation movies.
Mini-Review: Low-key for Lang, but has some great individual scenes. In the "How ignorant am I?" department, I always thought the name was pronounced to rhyme with ABUSE until I finally saw this picture and was made to realize that it's really pronounced "Mah-BOO-seh." Y'learn sumpin new every day. . .
Mini-Review: Way, WAY overlong with too much farting around and too few monsters fighting each other.
Mini-Review: After all these years, I'm still mystified by people who think that James Cameron has talent.
Mini-Review: An odd duck of a short subject. Worth watching, once.
Mini-Review: Clever, well-realized and understated short from the great UPA studios.
Mini-Review: Cute and well-designed expansion of the Saturday morning cartoon -- but suffers from a lot of padding. . . the TV show is better.
Mini-Review: A good representative example of the Koko shorts.
Mini-Review: Uneven anthology movie is much better with the (originally unreleased) W.C. Fields sequence restored.
