Mini-Review: surprisingly funny with its malicious portrayal of a moron ruining some stiff's life.
Mini-Review: Certainly the best one of the Prequel Trilogy. It actually has some feeling of the Original Trilogy and some cool scenes. Coruscant was awesome. The worst thing about this movie is definetly how much of a pussy vader is, especially when he cries out for Padme...I almost barfed.
Mini-Review: Having not seen the original, I didn't know what to expect. Since it is the Coens, I think my expectations were too high. I really enjoyed this film and thought it was good, but for some reason (No Country For Old Men) I thought it could have been better. No doubt, Jeff Bridges was fantastic and the little girl was great. Loved the headshot, great considering this film was rated PG-13
Mini-Review: What a surprisingly kick ass movie. In fact, I wasn't expecting much, especially since it was done at Troublemaker Studios (not saying Troublemaker sucks, just didn't think they would effectively pull of a Predator flick) and of course this was also after the blunders of AVP. Much to my delight, this movie blew me away. It just starts out so intense, a man wakes up in free fall in an alien sky, an alarm sounds, a parachute deploys way too close and then he hits ground and BOOM, "Predators".
Mini-Review: Its a dark acid trip of a western. Actually its much more than that. It is a thoughtful portrayal of the brutality of the wild west through the stylish lens of a decent film maker. All in all its a damn fine movie. The scenery mixed with the Neil Young guitar cracks make it seem so...cool.
Mini-Review: The most stunning Sci-Fi film ever made. Visually stunning and conceptually horrifying, solid cast and great directing, this film does not get the praise and glory it deserves.
Mini-Review: What an incredible piece of cinematic mastery as well as one hell of an intense true story. Not being very eager to see this film, I just assumed it would be dull. How wrong was I!? The fine detail and editing of every shot was entirely captivating. What else can one expect from the mastery of Danny Boyle. The greatest aspect of this film? A truly groundbreaking performance by James Franco leaves the audience with a strong hint of how it would feel to experience what Aron Ralston experienced.
